growing and rolling
Boston
Jager
Jett has finally realized that the babies are staying. He asks to hold them, loves to tell me when he can hear them cry, but also has the new job of being the soother boy. He LOVES to find the soothers and put them in the babies mouths. He knows you have to hold it in there for a second until they start sucking. Its so cute. He also asks to put them down so that I can come play with him.
Jager is now 7 lbs 5 oz. He is now rolling over. He has a really strong neck. He still eats every 3 hours but we are hoping soon he will start going longer.
Boston is 6 lbs 5 oz. Grandma says he rolled over but Mom hasn't seen it yet. He is VERY good at arching his back though. Boston is finally opening his eyes and focusing them on things which makes me very happy. He too is eating every 3 hours. Both babies are really spitty. I was so hoping to have no spitters this time. Oh well.

Jettisms
Nothing opens your eyes to your bad habits than your two year old repeating your words and copying your actions.
"stop puking baby!"
Babies are crying mommy! Hurry!
I want to pump too mommy!
No more jumping on the bed!
I have to say Jett has adjusted fairly well to the babies. He prettying ignores them most of the time. He is my little baby monitor and will tell me when he hears them cry. He doesn't want to hold them but he will ask to go see them and climb on the bottom rung of the crib and peek in.
I feel bad for Jett because his life has probably changed the most. He wakes up in the morning and says "I'm ready! Let's go! Another popular phrase is "I want to go to grandma &/or cousins house". He is used to running around doing errands with me and getting out. I think he is getting bored. My friends have all been great for taking him on play dates and it has been so nice. Especially with all my doctors appointments for the boys it makes it easier to only have to take the two.
I have managed to take all 3 boys to my moms or to drop Jett off somewhere, but I haven't taken all 3 out somewhere without help. I am scared. I also haven't taken out my stroller (the thought of dragging it through a snowy parking lot then throwing it in my trunk grosses me out a bit) but I think if I dug it out I could take all 3 somewhere.
Life with twins isn't all bad. If you are up feeding one you may as well feed two. If you change one diaper you can change two. I am mentally bracing myself for when their carriers are heavy and hard to carry. With them only weighing 5 pounds it's not so bad. The only rough time is when one falls asleep and the other doesn't and only wants to be held, and you are so tired you just want to sleep. Good times!
We are surviving. Mick and my mom have been great help. Bree is making sure we don't starve. I am just trying to sleep and enjoy these early days.
