Belated Valentines
I have been meaning to post this forever. My niece Jozlyn is the cutest girl. She is so fun and smart. When I saw her last she gave me this valentines picture. I wanted to blog about it so I would remember it forever.
TO Brooke:
From: Jozlyn
You crack me up
You are awesome Brooke
You rock Brooke
Mickle (Mick) you rock!
You are the best aunt ever. (I have brainwashed her as a child to say this, so no other aunts can be offended. I have worked very hard for that title.)

Jett’s Birthday
I actually put up decorations! I was impressed with myself. (I just don’t do those things, but Bree gave me some, so it was a win win).
Cousins happy faces. We also had some friends there, but Jett couldn’t wait
To eat his PINK CUPCAKE. He asked all morning for PINK ice cream and when we got to the store he chose cupcakes over a cake in the shape of lighting mcqueen, which was the lusted after item at this stage in his life.
Here he is crying on the floor because we wanted him to wait for his friends to get there to sing happy birthday. We told him its his party and he could cry if he wants to! The day was a bit emotional for him, he was tired from all the playing we did.
In other news, both boys are now smiling. The picture on the left was when I was trying to get him to smile. NO GO. The right? When Grandma was talking to him. How rude.
Jager giving me a small smirk. They both will smile but not for a camera those turkeys.

Mommy Guilt?
I have read a few posts lately on some blogs (first phrase out of mouth about 20x a day- Blogs are my social life right now) when I realized there were some that really hit home to where I am RIGHT NOW.
The no sleep, tired of no sleep but started to get used to it phase. I love babies, but I love them exponentially more with each hour of consecutive sleep that they get.
Check out their words (I am a reader, NOT a writer) they say it best.
Don't Seize the Day
"Being told, in a million different ways to CARPE DIEM makes me worry that if I'm not in a constant state of intense gratitude and ecstasy, I'm doing something wrong."
"Why is it that the second a mother admits that it's hard, people feel the need to suggest that maybe she's not doing it right?"
Reminiscing unfondly about Sleep Deprivation
"You might think you are inept at things, can't get it together, don't understand how other people actually do things. It's not you, it's sleep."
"I’m sure I’ll miss my babies when they are grown (people always say you do). But here’s some food for thought: What if I don’t? I have an 11-year-old and while I occasionally feel pangs as he grows, I don’t miss him as a baby. Now he’s fun to talk to, has good taste in books and movies, can carry stuff, and knows how to make quesadillas. What’s to miss?"
Read and tell me your thoughts. I would love to hear them.
