Palm Springs - Picture Overload

My mom and I went on a last minute trip to Palm Springs.  My aunt (her sister) has a time share there and we got to hang out with the whole family.  It was wonderful.  The resort was called the Wyndham Worldmark in Indio, California.  Of all of the vacations I have been on in life, this place had the best pools I have ever seen.

At the back of the resort there is one large pool, a hot tub, and a kids pool that is only 1' deep and PERFECT for Jett man.  There was the same set up at the main pool and there was also a lazy river there that was awesome.  Jett actually liked that one more than the older kids did.

Halloween Party

Jett's friend Jack had a birthday yesterday, and it being so close to Halloween his mom decided to combine his birthday with a Halloween party.  It was fun to see all the kids in their cute little costumes, but they didn't stay on that long.  I chose Jett's costume because it would be warm outside while trick or treating.  I wasn't thinking of indoor parties.  Thats okay, fun was had by all anyways!

He is trying really hard to figure out the door knobs. I am not looking forward to him being able to get into everything and babyproofing more.

His words have exploded this week. New words are shoes, juice, knees, banana, fishy, toes, hello (he-low) tank ooh. Ouch, bonk, owie, and blankie. He is also big into snuggling under the covers and reading books. I love it!

Date Nights

In the last two weeks we have received many free tickets to some pricey events.  HELLO DATE NIGHTS!  The first one was a hockey game for the Calgary Flames.  We got great seats, something like the 10th row?  Center ice.  It was awesome.

The second was a "shindig" for Heritage Park.  The evening started with a rodeo. 

 Then they had a gun fight for us.

After the gun fight we had an awesome dinner, a wild auction (starting bid for a week on the yacht was $15,000) and then they opened up the midway for rides, psychics, games, snacks, and all sorts of goodies.  I got my tarot cards read twice.  The first guy was a little interesting, but the second girl was amazing.  She knew all sorts of things, which is CRAZY.  I am obviously not taking it too seriously, but it was fun non the less.

For my last day of work, I got to attend a company golf tournament.  It was very rainy so I had to borrow a waterproof jacket to go over my sweater, so welcome to BIG GREEN in every picture!  Lovely, I know.  If I learned anything from this trip, it was to always bring a pretty rain jacket.

I am not the best golfer, nor do I want to be, but I had a fun time and even won a few prizes.  Barrett, who is now working with my same company, was golfing too.  He won a $105 gift certificate to the pro shop and bought some golf shoes!  I won a gift certificate to the mall.  YEAH!
