Ski Weekend Reunion

This weekend our friends the Lakes came up from Idaho Falls to go skiing with us! We love hanging out with them and are so excited they decided to make the Wild Journey to Canada! So far it has been so fun and JUST LIKE LAST YEAR except that: Last year Tina was pregnant and I went skiing. This year, I am pregnant and Tina got to ski. I am spending the afternoon babysitting little Avery and it has been so fun! She is such a happy baby and I was a little worried she would freak out that her mom was gone. Lucky for me she was very content and loves to watch her little movies and she is taking a nap! We are staying in a BEAUTIFUL hotel...

It even has a tub that fills from the ceiling, oh so contemporary and I am dying to try it, except that the noise scares me just a little. I can't wait to show them all the cool things in Banff, and there will be more photos to come!

My Last Picture

After taking this photo and seeing just how lovely I look, I am promising this is the last picture I will take of this huge belly. I am kind of grossed out just looking at it. I only have 31 days left (35 weeks and a few days), but I am secretly hoping it comes sooner. Mick says, not that were counting! The feet are officially waterbeds threatening to burst at any moment. Yes, we are officially into the 9th month and can't wait for it to be over! 14 working days left at the most. At my last appointment the baby was still sideways so I am also secretly hoping for a c-section. It just seems less stressful to me, but I know everyone has mixed opinions on that one. Not much else is new here, just counting days and rubbing feet!

Ready to be finished

My mind is working overload, there are no pictures because I am past the point of looking cute. Every morning I stare at my clothes and just wish I could fit into them again. I have 1 pair of pants that fit comfortably for longer than about 10 minutes so I have to ration which days I can be comfortable so that I can be clean and not the stinky kid in the nasty pants. I wake up in the middle of the night coughing until I want to throw up because I now live on a constant diet of TUMS due to the massive heartburn I live with. Then I start stressing about everything I have to do at work and all the dumb mistakes that were made and have to deal with...

and I thought being pregnant would be fun!

Week 32

This is me at 32 weeks. I am getting big, and I also can't believe how pregnant I am really looking. AKWARD. Well, this photo is more for me to remember for later. We started taking the 'Childbirth Essentials' class every week. It has been quite the experience. We have learned all about what stage of labor you go to the hospital and what to do at each stage. Mick has had a few massage lessons, I hope he puts those to good use! Next week is the pain management class, I am nervous. So far it as been interesting. I have moments where I feel like I am in the movie 'Baby Mama' where they say, who wants to have a medicine free natural childbirth? And everyone raises their hands. Who wants to have evil western medicine and have an epidural? and I am the lone girl shouting, OH ME, ME! PICK ME! I figure, its free, I don't really ENJOY pain, we don't really get an award for having no medication. Some people have their reasons for choosing that option. Thats fine, but I don't see why I would choose to endure pain if I didn't have to. I guess it can't be that bad, people survive and have more children after. But why? So its been quite the interesting experience.

Dominican Republic

It has been a while since I posted, so I promise to make it up by posting more pictures than you would ever want to see of our trip. Our family went to the Dominican Republic for Christmas and it was so wonderful and very hot. If there was a ray of sun to be soaked up, Mick would RUN to his chair and lather on some oil. So funny!
Barrett found a new pet, I mean, nephew, that really liked to hang out with him!

We went for walks on the beach.

Everyone loved the pool toys as much as the babies did.

What trip would be complete without Johnson trying to dunk everyone in the pool!

The boys went on the BANANA BOAT! I got to ride in the boat, no excurions for me!

Joel made some friends who wanted him to buy, buy, buy!

I read a few books on the beach!

Barrett read the ensign!

The babies loved the water and their toys from Dominican Santa.

Everyone thought Greyson was our kid. HMM I wonder why? Notice his MACHO NECKLACE?

Little Johnson's in the pool with Auntie's christmas presents!

Little men in their new shirts!

Look at those smiles!

Ping pong!
I almost got to go four wheeling, until they saw my stomach. Mom and dad and Barrett got to go though! They came back CAKED in mud, nasty!

Mom and dad played some tennis.

This is my little friend JUANITA. We always met her in two places. The kiddy pool and the nightly ice cream table. I loved to see her everywhere, and gave her this nickname after my favorite TV show.

The only excursion I was allowed to go on, kayacking. Even then, Joel had to talk them into letting me go, the waves were 'too big'.

Mick had to 'put baby in the corner' in the middle of dinner so he wouldn't be distracted and go to sleep.
Barrett and I thought this was halarious!
Notice how big the belly sticks out? I feel like I have doubled in size in the last few weeks.
The girls got our hair braided!

Elder Johnson Is Home

Barrett got home last night at 11:30. It was very exciting to see him at the airport as a cute missionary. Bree, Brandon and I made him some banners, which we thought was very entertaining. He even ran through one as he came to see us.

Barrett Meeting The Twins

Typical Barrett Smile

Barrett's New Companion.... He wouldn't let Dan leave his sight. Fortunatley, Dan refused to accompany him to the bathroom. I think its cute, little missionary Barrett.

Sign #2

This Morning, back to the usual Barrett

This is right after he got off the plane and I had to stop the video to give him my hug. There aren't any pictures of me because I had the only camera (that I stole from Debbie). We were a little too excited and kept forgetting things!
Me, Barrett, and my impossibly large belly. I MUST be leaning forward in this picture because I swear its usually not that large. AKWARD.

Anti Fancy Nancy

Confession: I hate fancy food. I am probably the worlds pickiest eater. I would be thrilled eating only pizza, spicy chicken fingers, or macaroni and cheese. That is it. So when companies we work with take us out to lunch for Christmas, we go to all of these beautiful places that are very FANCY! I look at the menu for ten minutes thinking, okay find something you can eat. There has to be something safe. Where is the chicken? The only foods I recognize are the desserts. Isn't this strange? I actually ended up ordering the chicken and it was pretty good, but $50 for a piece of chicken, I could have gone to McDonalds. Or at least (if I was in the states) Roadhouse.

Does anyone else see that count down and FREAK OUT? 12 weeks, that is coming WAY to soon.
